It's somewhat difficult to infer a Court of Appeals judge's views because they're so bound by the Court of Criminal Appeals' opinions, and for the last dozen years or so Texas' high criminal court has been dominated by Judge Keller and Co., who reflexively go out of their way to side with prosecutors in virtually every instance.
