Now this is all very well, but what about cases like Taylors Fashions [1982] QB 133 (option to purchase extension to lease, unprotected Class C(iv) land charge, bound purchaser through estoppel – that’s off the top of my head, but I think it’s right) and, indeed, yaxley itself – would they survive section 2?
