Like any rule, there are exceptions, and when the evidence of criminal wrongdoing is clear, as when North Charleston Police Officer Michael Slager killed Walter Scott by shooting him in the back as Scott ran away from a traffic stop, a prosecution was absolutely correct. [read post]
