It was an acronym for something, but in essence, they were savings accounts that gave police officers the ability to get much, much higher interest rates than anywhere else they could remotely turn for an investment, to the point where officers were taking out second mortgages on their home and putting the money in these DROP accounts because the interest rate that they were paying was so much lower than the interest they were getting on the savings account.And what's… [read post]
