I do not do much in the way of post removals, but a few months ago, I made a mistake in a post, having confused the site Solicitors from Hell (a site that generates no revenue, according to an email from the owner) with Solicitorsfromhell.co.uk, a site that allows clients to post complaints about solicitors and allows firms to pay a fee to seek removal, according to this story. On 4 January 2012, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (the SRA) issued guidance to solicitors on their professional duties when dealing with claims relating to mis-sold payment protection insurance (PPI).In April 2011, the High Court ordered banks to pay back up to £4.5bn in compensation to consumers over the mis-selling of PPI (see our previous blog on the subject here).
