Had most of those broker votes been cast for management, as brokers could have done before the Dodd-Frank Act barred such votes on compensation matters, the company would have received majority support.In a May 18 blog posting, Ning Chiu, a lawyer with Davis Polk & Wardwell, said there are seven companies with failed pay votes that would have passed if the reported broker non-votes had been cast for management.
