Greg Lambert over at the 3 Geeks and a Law Blog has written an interesting post on "Competitive intelligence in a Web 2.0 world" the post looks at some of the tools and techniques you can use to find people on Twitter.In the post Greg uses the example of trying to find Lawyers who work in particular law firms, but there is absolutely no reason why Greg's techniques cant be applied more widely.
