In accordance with a standing order, on October 2, 2014, Pat McGowan, the Nolan County Clerk, transferred the case to the 32nd District Court and provided written notice to Staley.Almost a year later, on September 14, 2015, Becky Stewart, the court administrator for the 32nd District Court, sent Staley a written notice by mail and sent an e-mail notice to Gonzales's attorney, Lance Hall, that a nonjury trial was set for November 6, 2015.
