The consensus seemed to be that while everyone liked the presenter personally, the CFPB isn't doing much practical good for itself by sending folks, no matter how bright, articulate, and personable they may be, into the enemy's camp with canned speeches that either shed no light on issues of most concern to bankers or overstate CFPB talking points that bankers will reject out-of-hand, or both.
