  A class action has no business being certified if nobody can tell who will be bound by a judgment or who the defendant will have to pay.Unfortunately, all too many class action plaintiffs fail to follow this seemingly simple principle, and sue on behalf of classes similar to “everybody who was uncomfortable while riding the Broad Street Line during” some particular time.
