 It has been the target of a large number of negative reviews on Yelp (and on Angie’s List and other consumer sites as well), and it filed a defamation action in Virginia state court against seven John Doe defendants  alleging that they falsely represented themselves as Hadeed customers when posting negative reviews regarding Hadeed’s carpet cleaning services on Yelp. It does seem to me like there’s a great deal of disgust out there about our law and our legal system and our lawyers – much of it well-earned, for which the legal profession itself ( yes, including law professors) bears some not-inconsiderable responsibility, though that’s a separate issue – and I wonder if there isn’t some tipping point which helps push the edifice crashing down. As I said, I think there is no rhyme or reason to this beyond politics, but that’s not my point, nor is my point that I want Jews to be considered a “minority” group; I’m not a fan of victimology, comparative or otherwise, and it’s likely just as well for American Jews that Jewish college students haven’t wholesale adopted victim status and the socio-politics that seems to accompany it on campus.
