Lord Justice Floyd commented that the data in the specification, whilst not predictive for pregablin's efficacy for treating peripheral neuropahtic pain, at least rendered its efficacy plausible.The Supreme Court held by majority (Lord Sumption, Lord Reed and Lord Briggs) that the disclosure in the specification supports the claims so far as they extend to inflammatory pain but not to any kind of neuropathic pain.
