In late 2019, an outbreak of E. coli O103 in Iowa was linked to clover sprouts served at Jimmy John’s restaurants.[8] On or around December 19, 2019, Jimmy John’s, LLC was informed that sandwiches sold at its restaurants were the suspected source of the outbreak, and on December 23, 2019, Inspire Brands was contacted by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals to inform them of the sprouts-related outbreak.[9] Neither Inspire Brands nor Jimmy John’s, LLC, informed… [read post]
