The Huskers again failed to scored in the 3rd quarter, almost a hallmark of Callahan coached teams, and indeed, also failed to score in the 4th quarter, losing their 16th straight Callahan-coached game when the team was behind after the first half, as in this case, being behind only 16-14. Nebraska has many strong individual players but Coach Callahan and his staff have not yet been able to put them all together to form a dominant football team of the likes of the Huskers of yore, for which this team surely had some potential this year, if not for avoidable playing and coaching lapses.
