A great post from the Quick and Ed that summarizes a recent Harper's Magazine article on education (this could probably be done without even reading the Harper's article): 1) The public schools are doing a pretty good job; many critiques are over-blown.But2) They need a lot more money.But3) We can't expect [them to] do much better than they're doing now (which, to be clear, is pretty good), and so we shouldn't subject them to accountability regimes… [read post]
