  This in spite of the fact that corporations have in fact done so well that they are now paying their CEOs and other high level managers obscene amounts that have allowed wealthy managers/owners to garner all of the productivity gains of the last decade while letting workers' wages stagnate or actually cutting them significantly or outright firing them through leveraged buyouts and equity takeovers that leave the workers without the protection of unions.
