  The orchestra is starting the season by living off the works that were rehearsed and programmed during it European tour, so we had the local premiere of Steven Stucky's "Rhapsodies for Orchestra" - jointly commissioned by the Philharmonic and the BBC Proms and premiered earlier this month on the tour in Paris, Ravel's Mother Goose Ballet Suite, and Bartok's MIraculous Mandarin Suite, also from the tour repertory.
