Unfortunately, I was doing myself a disservice by inadvertently perpetuating my ignorance after following the advice of a high school guidance counsellor to go into Agriculture to study Plant Ecology… all because of an ill-informed lofty career goal of working to save the environment (this was early 1990’s and David Suzuki’s warnings about the environment reigned supreme on the CBC – Canadian Broadcasting Corporation television).
