Granted in Southwark v Mills, it was a pre-existing lack of soundproofing that enabled the level of noise, so the issue of altering a property in such a way as to increase the level of noise transmission is factually different, but at the same time, the argument that the works to the floor were the nuisance, and the subsequent noise the consequence, is not at all straightforward.
