  The White House press corps and other media entertain the musings of Trump aides and former aides (without noting their non-disparagement agreements) who enable the President by translating spontaneous tweets and crazy gibberish into something less insane and inane, and by spewing lies (i.e., alternate facts, unfortunate misstatements) that are then dutifully reported. That said, technically, Section 1407 only requires states to “notif[y]” them, not actually enfranchise, so perhaps it isn’t the hook from the Spending Clause—instead, perhaps it’s one of the reason I’ve mused about earlier. [read post]
