The best they came up with were the Not-Ready-For-Primetime-Players like Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donnell, and Joe Miller -- but in states with larger populations, even the more conservative of Republican nominees -- Rick Rubio, Pat Toomey, Mark Kirk -- had enough experience and polish to give lie to the idea that cosnervative ideology necessarily means silliness.
