Voting in support of the rule Chair Gensler and Commissioners Crenshaw and Lee noted the evolving risk landscape and the increase in the number and sophistication of data compromises.The proposal includes cybersecurity risk management rules (new Rules 206(4)-9 under the Advisers Act and 38a-2 under the Investment Company Act) requiring advisers and funds to adopt and implement policies and procedures that are reasonably designed to address cybersecurity risks.
