While the population of interest is presumably all known sex offenders in Canada from 1966 to 1974, it would seem that the sample consists largely of individuals from only one province (Ontario). (2) Further, we are unable to determine whether the 351 men under study constitute the entire population or simply a sample of all of those sex offenders referred for psychiatric assessment or treatment (in Ontario) during the specified time frame.
