 Offhand I don’t know the racial views of conservative LDS/Mormons in Utah and other mountain states conservatives (though perhaps that is in my unpublished materials; I would guess, given the whiteness of states like Idaho, Montana, or South Dakota), it was, for them, largely out of sight, out of mind).
