This blog recently discussed a case in the European courts where the very name was the focus of the matter, and after an opinion from Advocate General Øe, the case has finally ended up on the lap of the CJEU, which gave its judgment only last month.As a short primer, the case of Scotch Whisky Association v Michael Klotz concerned the sale of a whisky called "Glen Buchenbach" by Mr Klotz, which was produced in Germany.
