  Add LWOP with financial support (from prison earnings, say) to the family of the victim, and the polls consistently show less than 50 percent.The polls also show that somewhere around two-thirds of the people think we've executed innocent people in the past 5 or 10 years but that roughly two-thirds of them still support the death penalty (again, as an abstract, yes or no question).
