One might have thought that lawyer : client communication at least would be sufficiently fundamental to be protected by way of primary legislation rather than left to rules of court, but instead legal advisors, litigants and journalists will have to cross reference the provisions of the Act with the Family Proceedings Rules in order to work out what is and is not permitted.
