Picked up a story in The Times (28 June 2007) about the embarrassment of A-list performers like Barbara Streisand and Sir Elton John playing to half-empty stadiums around Europe because fans are objecting to paying hundreds of pounds for a ticket (strangely, ticket sales have held up very well in the UK even though the price of tickets is higher here than anywhere in the rest of Europe: some mugs are paying up to £850 for a Streisand ticket - and that's face value, not… [read post]
