Relatedly, the court rejected the idea that no right of publicity was necessary because players are financially rewarded through endorsement, sponsorship, and the like—this doesn’t apply to college athletes, and the NCAA most recently estimated that “[l]ess than [two] in 100, or 1.6 percent, of NCAA senior football players will get drafted by a National Football League (NFL) team.
