Again, students who have assimilated the gross income and employment topics can absorb the rules quite easily while those who haven't done so become even more frustrated with the course and with me.One of the assigned problems also provides the opportunity to re-visit withholding, a concept introduced early in the semester when I provided to the students an example of why a first-year law associate's take-home pay is less than gross salary.
