In 2016, Hale Devices Inc. acquired the Aiwa trade marks for the US, changed its name to Aiwa Corporation and marketed a speaker under the Aiwa brand.In 2017 a Japanese company called Towada Audio acquired Sony's AIWA trade mark portfolio and changed its name to Aiwa Co Ltd in order to re-establish the brand.
