 Louis Freeh, who left the federal bench to run the FBI during the Clinton Administration, was (if memory serves) often referred to as “Judge Freeh” during his tenure there, and as Steve points out in his second post, has kept and used the title after returning to a law practice focused on security consulting and internal investigations at a small firm he started with former CIA General Counsel and retired federal district judge Stanley Sporkin.
