But I have to admit that the story by Alex Tresniowski and Nicole Weisensee Egan -- with reporting by Steven Gray, Wendy Grossman, Crystal Yednak and Jeff Truesdell -- turns down the volume level set on the cover, and proceeds to tell this admittedly tawdry tale in a measured, reporter-driven evenness that deserves praise rather than accusations of exploitation.
