Matthias Zigann explained yesterday, the amount is 60% less than what Apple's counsel had demanded, and the court felt the massive reduction was justified by the fact that the 2018 iPhone models aren't going to be affected (only iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and--but it wasn't on sale anymore anyway--the iPhone X).
