I'd have thought it was obvious that if a tenant breaches a lease for, say, $1500 a month, and after a month of vacancy, the lessor leases the property to another party for $1600 a month, the lessor's damages are reduced by $100 for each month during the defendant's original lease term.But apparently that wasn't so clear.
