Data collected by the New York City Police Department showed reports of 263 antisemitic hate crimes  in the city in 2022, compared with 121 and 196 such crimes in 2020 and 2021, respectively; and in 2021, neighboring New Jersey experienced a 25 percent increase in antisemitic incidents over the previous year.
