Tennessee Code Annotated § 36-6-108, also known as the parental relocation statute, provides, inter alia, that if a parent “desires to relocate outside the state or more than one hundred (100) miles from the other parent within the state,” the relocating parent must send notice to the other parent and seek court approval of the relocation if the other parent objects.
