Former barrister jailed for fraudA former barrister who fled the UK just before being convicted of fraud has been jailed for three years after being extradited from France.Carol Castell von Castell was found guilty in her absence in 2006 of an £80,000 insurance swindle.Von Castell from Kensington, west London, was later found in Paris heading her own company.She faces a further sentence at Southwark Crown Court for skipping bail during the fraud trial.
