Recently, two investigators published a study that attempted to look at whether lawsuit industry advertising was associated with stimulation of adverse event reporting in the FAERS.[9] Tippett and Chen conducted a multivariate regression analysis of FAERS reporting with independent variables of Google searches, attorney advertising, and FDA actions that would affect reporting over the course of a single calendar year (mid-2015 to mid-2016).
