Second, the hypothesis suggsted by the arson investigator - that Willingham doused the child's room with accelerant, which he then trailed down a long hall to his doorway and lit like a fuse - was contradicted by unrebutted eyewitness testimony: someone who saw Willingham on the porch with smoke coming from the back of the house but not yet in the doorway or hall behind him.
