(as Oliver might have said to Stan): If I were to state a theory about something, then offer two examples of incidents (which I claimed were different) as supposed examples of the application of that theory, but then it turned out that (1) the two examples were equivalent and not different and (2) in any event the examples at best didn't show the theory in operation and at worst contradicted a basic premise of the theory you'd be entitled… [read post]
