Unfortunately for T-Mobile and Danger/Microsoft the technical and PR headache created by this failure only represents the start of their difficulties stemming from this crash: where there are lots of unhappy people, a cock-up and money, one can be certain that the lawyers will not be far behind. That may be true, but it does not seem to be much of a selling point for cruise lines to compare themselves to locations where people are sick, old or infirm, or are children with poo in their pants. [read post]

IMO, this authority would be used more often as a PR maneuver to protect law enforcement's ass than it will to protect investigations - to put off inquiries by the media and public when something goes wrong, at least until the heat dies down. [read post]
