I don't know the exact details of the proposal that is being led by Professor MH, but I would assume the requirement is something similar to the practical coursework requirement or the seminar requirement: you must complete X hours of approved pro bono work by the time you graduate.This probably won't affect anyone who is currently enrolled (settle down kids), but if approved, it will definitely affect all future generations of cu law classes. The fact that mental health clients make up a higher percentage among the currently and formerly incarcerated than probationers appears to support that charge, implying that prison for many is the option of first resort for handling tens of thousands of mentally ill people in the state.Lots more interesting stuff in the committe's interim report, which I'll adumbrate in more detail soon.
