Such case law makes it clear that where the business assets in relation to which the opposition was filed have been transferred and at the same time the transferor has contractually agreed to transfer the opposition to the transferee, the status of opponent stays with the transferor until (a) evidence has been filed with the Office sufficiently evidencing the transfer and (b) a request has been filed to recognise the transfer of the status of opponent.
