From the June 3 Globe and Mail news article we get these  study-findings  about adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in Canada: 12 per cent, or more than 1 in 9, of all emergency room visits were medication-related, ranging from patients who did not take their medication as prescribed to those who had a bad reaction to a drug; adverse drug reactions accounted for nearly 40 per cent of those visits, making them the most common medication-related problem that landed patients… [read post]

Search did not exceed the duration of defendant's consent because (1) defendant repeatedly consented to the searches; (2) defendant's consent contained no limitation on the duration of the search; (3) at no time did defendant seek to limit the duration of the search, nor did the officers create the understanding that the search would have been brief; and (4) there was no indication that the officers failed to act with due diligence in conducting the search.
