Indeed, the first work on the program, The Four Temperaments Waltz by Johann Strauss the Elder (1804-1849), was claimed to be a U.S. premiere, although I don't know how one could seriously make such a claim for any piece by the elder Strauss, since I doubt there are accurate records for performances dating back to the early 19th century.
