Today I hear on Twitter that Microsoft, still maker of the most popular browser in the world, have agreed to install a Do Not Track opt-out cookie into IE v 9; this follows Firefox doing something roughly similar, leaving only Chrome (Google) and Safari (Apple) of the major desktop browsers as outliers.Will this self regulatory, "code" solution, which has been heavily advocated by the FTC in the US be successful?
