As to the privacy argument, the Supreme Court determined that the public interest in peace officer conduct is significant and in the circumstances presented in this case outweigh an officer’s privacy interest in maintaining the confidentiality of his or her name; to prevent disclosure there needs to be evidence that disclosing a particular officer’s identity would jeopardize that officer’s safety or efficacy.
