According to the Shanghai Daily report Draft: Drop May golden week the May Day holiday will get the ax from a full week to a day and some of the more traditional one day holidays will be brought back in… I guess it makes sense to take it to the chopping block, given the shear numbers of people who go on vacation and the strain it puts on the transportation network…but it would have been nice to get another May trip in.. you know.. one for the road.
