We ran a poll as to why the number of comment letters has declined – and most folks thought it was due to companies doing a better job with their disclosures (34%); followed by Corp Fin being too busy reviewing deals (31%) and the fact that there are fewer public companies these days (9%; there’s been a 30% reduction in the number of public companies since 2000).
